1/ The
Total Unique Persons in the FCR is derived by unduplicating SSNs across all
participant types. The figures for the individual participant types are
unduplicated within that category but not between them --i.e., an individual
may appear in more than one category, but is only counted once within that
category and only once in the total. As a result, the counts for the
individual participant types may not add up to the Total Unique Persons in
the FCR. In addition, an individual can be a child support case participant
in more than one state; in these situations they are counted in the total for
each individual state in which they are a participant but are only counted
once in nationwide total. As a result, the individual state totals add up to
more than the nationwide total. |
2/ Some
states code their Putative Fathers as NCPs when submitting them to the FCR.
For those states Putative Fathers are included in the NCP figure instead of
the PF figure, which is NA. |
