End of the Year 2025

This year has been a rollercoaster ride all the way through. Some highs, some lows, and some steady movement.

I have submitted testimony on numerous bills that have resulted in some significant changes and prevented harmful clauses from being added to Ohio Law. I have had legislators contact me to review changes and advise them on bills. Those conversations have resulted in bill amendments and changes to now passed bills and some that are still in committee. We do have several bills in LCS now, and we have identified a significant problem for legislators about one of the bill drafters.

We are monitoring the Celebrezze case closely. While she told the court at her indictment hearing that she had resigned, the Supreme Court has yet to formally accept the resignation, which will officially remove her from the bench. We likely will not see that until after the first of the year.

The SB174 saga continues and has brought the Ohio Family Rights name, as well as my own, to the forefront in the fight against that bill.

There have been several Op-Ed pieces published and more coming.

My name, as well as Ohio Family Rights, has been mentioned in several stories about that bill and our opposition, as an organization and personally.

The media has asked us for our thoughts on several introduced bills, and we have helped them understand the major flaws in those bills.

We don’t just work with legislators; we also work with individuals and families, offering suggestions on their personal cases. We have helped many in that regard since we know the process and the problems that come when families are in court.

2025 has been wild, but 2026 may be wilder.
